Someday I'll Figure Out What This is About

Yesterday was my last day at D2L. I went out after work to The Still – an establishment I would recommend only for it’s beer and wings, and the fact that it’s pretty much the only place to go in downtown Kitchener – and it was nice to see how many people stopped by for a drink and to say “congratulations.”

Today was my first day of vacation/unemployment, but I don’t think it’s all quite sunken in yet. It just felt like I was taking the day off, and I kept wondering if there was something work-related that I should be doing. Presumably I’ll notice the change the most once I actually start at my new job on the 26th.

Unfortunately, today felt more like a sick day than a vacation day. I think I picked up something last week, and it’s gotten worse as this week’s progressed. I sat on the couch today, watched Horatio Hornblower DVDs, read some Fables and had two naps. It looks like I’ve passed the plague on to Cressa now, so it should be an exciting weekend.
