KRZiness!
This week didn’t get off to a great start. My cell phone ended up going through the wash last night and didn’t fare too well. Today I got a whole pile of work done and then promptly lost it during a protracted dispute with Vault. In fairness, Vault didn’t lose my data; it just made me frustrated enough that I ended up accidentally destroying it myself.
However, tonight I’ve got a new toy as a direct result of my old phone’s encounter with the washing machine: a new Motorola KRZR. Right now I’m supposed to be quiet while Cressa writes “Thank You” cards for the wedding shower she went to on Sunday, but once the noise ban is lifted I’m getting right to work turning MP3s into ringtones!
Update: MP3 ringtones didn’t go so well. Word on the street (and by “street” I mean “Internet”) is that my service provider has locked the phone so that you have to buy ringtones from them. This doesn’t entirely surprise me, but it’s sort of stupid that the phone comes bundled with software designed for making/uploading your own ringtones that you can’t actually use.
The Internet seems to have its “ways” of circumventing the problem, but I need to do some more searching before I do something like accidentally set my phone on fire.
