After a couple delays, we finally got to pick up our new car from the dealership tonight! First we had to say “goodbye” to the old car… And then we said “hello” to the new car… We only drove it to supper and back, so it’s hard to say much about it right now, but [ READ MORE ]
I finally got through all of the pictures from the honeymoon and you can see them all in my Picasa Web Album. Day 6 was our second big tour day and we went on the “Conveniently Late Cruise” that started at 11:00am. We could have slept in, except we’d somehow gotten into the habit of [ READ MORE ]
I’m posting this from my new PC. So far I’ve tried out Supreme Commander and Dark Messiah of Might & Magic and both run beautifully. I’m excited to reinstall Oblivion and see how it looks with the new setup. Alas, everything is not as wonderful as I would like and I’m probably going to have [ READ MORE ]
Monday I ordered my early birthday present from TigerDirect (discounted by my personal account manager, since they seem to have a very loose definition of “Business Account”). Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be unwrapping and assembling: An EVGA nForce 680i SLI Socket 755 Motherboard An Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz Processor An EVGA GeForce [ READ MORE ]
More pictures are up. Day 5 (Sunday) was our first day with absolutely nothing planned. I did a tour of the grounds and snapped a lot of pictures of the local flora and fauna, we finally got around to drinking our complimentary honeymoon champagne, and we tried out “Morgan’s Pier”, the resort’s seafood restaurant, where [ READ MORE ]
President’s Choice has had some commercials on TV advertising their reusable grocery bags that are now in stores that carry the brand. They’re only 99 cents each, so on our last trip to Zehrs, we bought 5 because hey, 99 cents! On the downside, we don’t have a supply of free, small garbage bags ideal [ READ MORE ]
In other news, Cressa and I leased a new 2007 Nissan Altima today. It’ll likely be Wednesday or so before all the paperwork is done and we actually take possession, so we’ll be waiting expectantly until then. The main reason for trading in my Spec-V was to get something that Cressa would be comfortable driving. [ READ MORE ]
Pictures from day 3 and day 4 of our honeymoon are up. Day 3 in St. Lucia (Friday) was our first big “tour” day. We signed up for a shopping tour in the morning and a cruise in the evening. The shopping tour was mostly a way for us to get to see the capital [ READ MORE ]
We’re back from St. Lucia! It took a Herculean effort on our parts, but we actually went an entire week without checking email or browsing the web (except one short 10-minute stint where we had to find addresses for some post cards). Google Reader informs me that I have too many unread items for it [ READ MORE ]
Our photographer put up some “preview” pictures from our wedding on his blog, and they look amazing. If anyone out there in the KW area is getting married and needs a photographer, I whole-heartedly recommend Alex. Everything we’ve gotten from him has looked fantastic and he’s a really nice guy to work with. I’m still [ READ MORE ]
